Biographies are weird. I never know what to include, what really matters about myself enough to tell total strangers who wander by.

For now I'll start here: I'm trying to figure out just who I am these days, tragedy and grief have a way of tearing you down and remaking you into something entirely new. I have a husband and a child I love beyond the ability to describe, and a cat that makes me laugh.

But I also have a child who turned to stardust in 2016. You're never the same once you've cradled your child while brain cancer steals their future slowly, painfully, permanently. I know I love to knit, and read, and cook. I know I need to write again for my own sake. But I'm not sure of much else.

So 2018 will be the year I stretch myself again - my goals are all self-care and self-discovery based, because you're never too old to learn more about yourself.
