I realized today I was contemplating adopting a puppy because it would take a lot of attention and work.
My house is relatively clean, the Cup is a slow build to the gut wrenching anxiety part, the garden is in the spring holding pattern that always happens until early May, the pigs don't require a whole lot, I'm not writing, and I'm taking a break from fandom.
I need something to do.

Date: 2014-04-27 03:02 am (UTC)Sadly, I already do all of those things (except the paint by numbers ;) which is, I think, the biggest part of my problem right now. I am having to give my wrists a break before I get started on the Christmas knitting again, my sister in law is getting lace this year. All of the obvious projects are kind of old hat for me right now and I'm bored.
I spent a good chunk of the afternoon doing research and making lists for camping, though. My boys have been asking for years, which is impressive since the oldest is only 5, and we're finally ready to start but I have *nothing* since it's been a decade since I last went.
So that may be a good thing to start with, learning a lot more about the general camping areas right around us, teaching the boys camping stuff, maybe even planning a couple back-yard camp-outs for practice.
But I have the feeling that's not going to quite be enough for whatever bored thing I have going right now.
Maybe I should suck it up and make my house really really really clean... Heh.
