Gardening part three.
(Part one, Part two.)
OH MY GOD, YA'LL. I AM TIRED.
Is chives, not onions.
Also, daffodils. The bulbs look like white onions? It's bizarre.
Homeowner hauled off BAGS full of bulbs.
I still have a BILLION.
I put them on Craigslist, hope people come and take them. I HAVE NO ROOM IN MY TRASHCANS.
Pictures!

I still need to rake the whole mess out and then fold some good soil in, but the bulb masses are out.

This is, like, 1/4th of the masses I pulled out. Sitting on the curb hoping someone from Craigslist comes to take them home.

Another 1/4th, the mess I just was too tired to sort.

It looks like I have way more left to do than I actually do, but I am really pleased with what I have.
And now, I'm going to go shower the mud off. And try not to fall asleep before the sun goes down. Heh

Happy Momma's Day, bb. (Or, as my daughter said to me on the phone this morning, "Happy Hey You Successfully Birthed Yourself Offspring Day!" *g*)

I am SO excited about this garden, and having people encouraging me along the way is making SUCH a difference.
And let me tell you, being out in the sunshine and fresh air all day has done SO MUCH for my disposition. I thinks I must do this MOAR. :D

I've decided to just go the container route this summer--the spaces between the little shrubs in our planters (most of our yard is paved) are nearly all in shadow now under the treelets, and it just seems easier to focus on putting things in pots I can monitor. Of course, our backyard cat decided to dig up my just-planted kale. Boo, kitteh, boo.
My little guy has learned that one picks flowers, and can't distinguish between what flowers it's okay to pick and what aren't. So he's decimating my chive blossoms and thyme blossoms...but then bringing them over to me and smiling. I just hope he doesn't go after the strawberry blossoms...

Mother Nature plants in the ground, things are *supposed* to grow in the ground, ergo, I am less likely to simply KILLKILLKILL anything green? *G*
My little guy has just learned that mud is...new? And not really for eating? And iris leaves taste bad. *snicker*
